Birth Photography
As a doula I respect that birth is one of the most intimate and sacred moments in a woman's life. I can provide modest or graphic photography during the birth and first precious moments of your baby's life outside your body.
Since graphic birth photography is so personal and intimate I will not display any graphic birth photography on my website. If you are interested in hiring me as a birth photographer I can bring my portfolio containing graphic birth images to an "in person" interview. Please do not request sample photographs by email, those requests will not be acknowledged.
Package Includes:
• On call availability for your birth begins during your 36th week of pregnancy
• Up to 8 hours of photography during your labor, birth and immediate postpartum period. This will include pictures of the labor, actual birth (if desired) and your baby’s first few hours of life.
• Photo editing
• CD of all photo quality images from your labor and birth.
• Verbal support, encouragement and suggestions from me as a doula. No hands on doula services are included in this package. My primary responsibility is to provide you with cherished photos of your baby’s birth.
Cost: $250.00
1/2 of fee ($125) due at time of hire, balance due ($125) at follow up visit after the birth when your photos are provided to you on disk.
If you have hired me as your pregnancy photographer I can provide birth photography at a discounted rate of $200.00.
This fee covers my on call time, actual photography services, photo CD and photo editing time.
I would also like to meet with you before your labor begins and preferably before your 36th week to discuss what type of photographs you are most comfortable with.
